I Want to Write: A look at an American World

I want to write something,

That may put a small smile on some ones face, that is shinning and warm like a summer afternoon. That is heartfelt and full of love, and talks about how things could be, whether they be real or just make believe.

I want to write something,

That explains to people we can change things if we only try, and not to give up on things that may seem impossible. Something that tells people just because you didn't win today, doesn't mean you cant win tomorrow, at least that's what "They" say.

I want to write something,

That might tear at the heart and bring the truth close to home. That talks about how society has the attitude "steal from the poor and give more to the rich," and in a nice mannered tone a voice talks to the people saying "I can not tell a lie!" and with that be said, it makes people feel a bit safer in this day in age.

I want to write something,

That has a darker edge that may not always end in happiness. That tells the truth and maybe a lie or two. Something that misleads and misdirects only till that person comes to their own conclusion, Only then to be told not to think because its bad for you.

I want to write something,

That tells the story of how people can fight for things that are right, but others just want to hear a story about a war over black gold that stains the hands of the blind, because people still believe in that voice that says "I can not tell a lie," but hey who can blame us, we just work here.

I want to write something,

That has a sting that talks about hate, race, and violence and the common indecency we do to each other on a daily basis. How my group of brothers, my tribes men have gone from a great nation to the point of an almost case of genocide. From a land that was ours to begin with to a land that was taken and sold off to the highest bidder, and in poverty does my nation live in selling cheap jewelry on the side of the road for two dollars a pop. But my nation is not the only nation that suffers in this supposed great day in age, but like "they" say "that's colonialism for you."

I want to write something,

That sparks the hearts of others that captures the minds of people showing them they don't have to follow. Something that shows them past the simple make believe world they see everyday to the real world for what it really is. Something that makes people raise their fists and march against a system that keeps them down while their voices scream the true meaning of GIVE ME FREEDOM OR GIVE ME DEATH a phrase made popular in the creation of a new world.

I want to write something,

That brings people together to unite us all free from racial, sex, gender, ethnic, and belief discrimination. Together as a single group with original ideas and maintaining our own original identities that we were raised with, Truly free in the thoughts of real peace and serenity with out the cold grasp of violent tendencies with its cousin hate staring us down 24/7; Something that shows us that we are all human and that we can come together one day as true brothers and sisters.
